The Jagora University Bachelor of Arts in general studies program is designed to provide students with a well-rounded education by combining a core set of general education courses with courses from several career-related disciplines. The program lays the foundation for a broad base of knowledge with general education courses in a variety of subject areas. In addition, students can select courses from various disciplines such as business administration, marketing, criminal justice, and early childhood education to customize the program to meet their professional and personal goals.
This program emphasizes competency-based education, focusing on both theory and application and the students enrolled in this program will acquire skills that will better prepare them to understand, integrate and apply what they learn to their workplaces, both immediately and over the lifespan of their careers.
The Jagora University Bachelor of Art (BA) degree is part of a cohort of JU Career Programs that teaches everything required to take the candidate career to the next level in the shortest amount of time. Career Programs contain Skills Courses from the competency areas defined by employer partners.
Career programs can be completed in four years or less with an estimate of 45 hours of study per week. In some cases, the study could be completed in less than four years with the accreditation of prior experience learning. Jagora University Career Program graduates can earn USA nationally recognized certifications.
Display the skills of time management, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, written comprehension, communication, and research.
Identify and apply the fundamental principles of public speaking, speech criticism, audience analysis, and effective delivery techniques.
Apply behavioral principles to fact situations, and reason to sound conclusions based on theory and practicality of solution.
Demonstrate an understanding of the broad implications of technological innovation on social organization in terms of personal, political, economic, and environmental issues.
Be prepared to enter master’s degree or MBA programs without any additional academic preparation.
